To maintain professional standards across the board, the criteria for misconduct and the mechanism for investigating it must be uniform. Whether it's a medical malpractice claim or a police brutality complaint, the process looks the same.

For any internal investigation, the department must mandate what constitutes valid evidence. (e.g., Bodycam/Dashcam footage, or clips.) to evaluate if department policy was broken.

Universal Disciplinary Matrix

Departments are expected to structure their own internal disciplinary guidelines, however we have provided a universal one below to structure off of.

Infraction SeverityExample BehaviorRecommended Action
Low (Class 1)Continued minor uniform violation, continued minor radio clutter.Verbal Warning / Retraining
Medium (Class 2)Unprofessional Conduct, borderline powergaming.Strike / 3-Day Suspension
High (Class 3)Severe Corruption, blatant toxicity, leaking documents.Termination / Department Blacklist
